Today Balmain just showcased the Fall 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week.It was a beautiful clothing line, but i have to say that i had a déjà vu when i saw it.Although i am a fan of Olivier Rousteing and i admire his work, i can't help to feel like his latest collections are so very similar.I understand the idea that fashion houses have to be recognised by a certain style, but i believe that they also have to reinvent it in a way that keeps the brand's spirit and also brings something new every time.
The black dress below somehow looks like the longer version of the red dress from the Pre-Fall collection.Of course, it's not identical but it follows the same idea.
Balmain Pre-Fall 2015
The colorful ensemble reminded me of another one from the Spring/Summer 2015 collection.Sure, one has lace and the other one it's all about prints, but it's the same combination of clothes really.
Balmain Spring/Summer 2015
The outfit below just seems to have more stripes than the one from Spring/Summer show.

And of course that stripes couldn't miss. This one is not a jumpsuit like the one from Spring/Summer but it goes in the same direction.

The fringed dresses looked like the ones presented in the Pre-Fall collection. These are the ones that look very much alike.

And finally, this dress seems to have very much in common with the green jumpsuit from the Pre-Fall collection.
Balmain Pre-Fall 2015
So, as you can see the Fall collection is more a combination between the Spring/Summer and Pre-Fall lines. There is nothing new about the collection or something that we haven't seen before.Let's hope that Olivier's imagination will dazzle us in his future collections.
