Movies: Monte Carlo (2011) Costumes

Besides being a cute romantic comedy that is perfect to watch at any age and especially on a Sunday, the 2011 "Monte Carlo" movie stands out with the amazing wardrobe that the actresses had.From three simple girls with an ordinary style, Grace (Selena Gomez), Emma (Katie Cassidy) and Meg (Leighton Meester) have the great opportunity to be a part of Monte Carlo's high life when Grace is being mistaken for British Heiress Cordelia Winhrop Scott.They have amazing costumes from designers like Chanel, Oscar de la Renta or Dior.


In the pictures above, Selena Gomez plays one of her characters from this move : heiress Cordelia.She wears a fabulous Chanel jacket that has superb pearl details.The back of this jacket is really unique and elegant.


In the scene where they first entered the lobby of Hotel de Paris from Monte Carlo, Katie wore a skirt from french brand Promod, that was bought from Budapest,Hungary while filming.Selena wore a Zara blouse and Leighton, on the other hand, had a more expensive wardrobe which consisted in a shirtdress designed by costume designer Shay Cunliffe and a Stella McCartney belt.

Bvlgari necklace

The girls looked exquisite for the ball scene where they wore drop dead gorgeous gowns.Selena Gomez matched an Oscar de la Renta dress with a stunning blue necklace by Bvlgari.Leighton Meester wore a Christian Dior dress that made us think about the dresses that debutants wore in the 40s and Katie had a floral print dress by J.Mendel.


Katie's character got in trouble later for trying on the expensive blue Bvlgari necklace matched with a yellow dress and a pink clutch.
